We are all affected by our environment, which can support or undermine our efforts to achieve any goal or manifest any reality.
Bring to mind a client and his or her goal or need.
Consider how you can help him or her create an environment that will support that effort.
1. What persons or co-workers will be supportive?
a. What talents do they need to have?
b. What information do they need to know?
c. What attitudes or qualities would make them most useful?
2. What physical environment will be supportive? Consider objects, furniture, walls, cabinets, filing systems, music, sounds, running water, colors, paintings, images etc.
3. What information or inspirational sources will be supportive? Consider books, internet, persons with expertise etc.
4. What instrumentation will be useful? Consider computers, fax, scanners, answering machines, video, DVD, mobile, voice recorders, etc.
5. What location might be more supportive? Perhaps a change in location of home or work space might be more efficient?
6. What classes or groups might be supportive? Perhaps belonging to a certain group or following certain classes might give support.
7. What Systems of knowledge or techniques might be helpful?
8. What attitudes on the part of the client will be supportive. Consider great self-confidence, self-acceptance, faith in others, ability to let others take on responsibilities, forgiveness, alternative goals or perceptions.
9. Are there any systems for remembering important decisions that might be helpful? Consider a buddy system in which someone calls to remind him, signs, notes, alarms with messages.
10. What systems of automation might help out. Consider auto-response messages, or a series of auto-response messages, informative sheets, cassettes or videos, others who can perform responsibilities.
